The Office of Cuba Broadcasting (OCB), which includes Radio and TV Marti, confirmed that it is successfully encouraging new development schemes to enhance the dissemination of news and bring more listeners to access accurate and timely coverage.
The initiative is part of the overall strategy of the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG), headquartered in Washington, DC The BBG is the U.S. federal government agency responsible for overseeing all radio and television broadcasts that do not belong to the military.
Carlos A. Garcia-Perez, director of CBO, noted the progress and results that are reaching to reach a growing number of Cubans on the island and, in turn, promote the exchange of news in civil society.
"Now our next step will not only send information to the Cubans but also enable them to connect with each other for any reasons that they believe, without editorializing or interfere with the message," said Garcia-Perez.
